Yiyuan Sun is a Clinical Professor and Associate Chair of School of Nursing at Northeastern University. As a passionate researcher, Dr. Sun has dedicated herself to excellence in scholarship. She is particularly interested in psychosocial and behavioral interventions to improve health outcomes in patients with cancer and chronic illness. Her research focuses on mammogram screening interventions, diabetes self-management, and the use of traditional Chinese medicine in cancer care. She has mentored numerous junior faculty, graduate and PhD students and contributed significantly to curriculum development, accreditation and faculty support in nursing education programs. Through her research, leadership, and teaching, Dr. Sun continues to make impactful contributions to nursing science and education. Dr. Sun holds a DNSc from Yale University and a MS and a BS from Tianjin Medical University, China.
