Valeria Ramdin

Valeria Ramdin is the Director of Global Health Affairs, Associate Clinical Professor, Northeastern University (NU) School of Nursing (SON), and Faculty Lead for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in NU Bouve College of Health Sciences. She serves on boards of directors, research teams and professional organizations in roles that impact policy, research, and practice. As NUSON global leader, Dr. Ramdin plans, oversees, and/or evaluates global experiential operations, services, and nursing to ensure the delivery of quality pedagogy in alignment with strategic plans. As board of director member for Boston’s Healthcare for the Homeless Populations, she chairs their governance committee and helps to optimize practice and policy to enhance patient-centered care for vulnerable populations. She leads GloGood Foundation medical/nursing Eleuthera Bahamas dental-medical pop-up clinics improving access to healthcare. Dr. Ramdin previously held leadership role as NUSON’s Assistant Dean of undergraduate program 2009-2014. She chairs the public policy committee and serves on the editorial board for the Association of Black Nursing Faculty. As a scientist she focuses on healthy aging, person-centered care, and equity, and is currently on the international African Caribbean Cancer Consortium (AC3) team. Dr. Ramdin holds a PhD, MS with NP specialization and a BSN degree from Northeastern University.
