Trisha Sheridan is an associate professor at Emory University Nell Hodgson School of Nursing. Dr. Sheridan’s expansive interdisciplinary teaching and programmatic approach inspires the next generation of women’s health and forensic nurses increasing the number of nationally trained providers providing care to vulnerable populations. She also serves as Program Director for the Georgia Forensic Nursing and SAFE Networks. Over the past three years through her work as Program Director for the HRSA funded Georgia Forensic Nursing and SAFE Networks she has increased the number of certified SANEs (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners) in Georgia and Alabama by 35%. Previously, Dr. Sheridan was a Clinical Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University and Forensic Nurse Examiner Program Coordinator at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in College Station, TX. Dr. Sheridan has led inter-professional teams, developed education for nursing and medical residents, law enforcement, social services, and judicial and healthcare systems bettering patient outcomes. Dr. Sheridan received her BSN and MSN from Columbia University, and her DNP from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
