Teri Pipe

University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing

Teri Pipe is the Richard E. Sinaiko Professor in Health Care Leadership at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing and core faculty in the University of Wisconsin-Madison Center for Healthy Minds. Her primary research in mindfulness and leadership has been translated into leadership practice across many organizations around the U.S. and globally. Dr. Pipe is Dean Emerita of the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University (ASU), where she served as Dean from 2011-2018 and as University-wide ASU Chief Well-Being Officer from 2017-2021, and tenured Professor from 2001-2023. She was the Founding Director of ASU's Center for Mindfulness, Compassion and Resilience. She was selected as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Executive Nurse Fellow in 2014. Prior to ASU, Dr. Pipe served as Mayo Clinic Arizona's Director of Nursing Research and Innovation. Dr. Pipe’s work focuses on well-being within and beyond the healthcare and higher education sectors. Dr. Pipe is passionate about leadership, well-being, and flourishing. She earned her BSN from the University of Iowa, Master’s Degree in Nursing with a minor in gerontology from the University of Arizona, and PhD in Health Policy and Administration from Penn State University.
