Shawna Mudd is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. As a dual certified primary and acute care PNP, Dr. Mudd has leveraged her decades of clinical care in pediatrics to address the needs of children, particularly the most vulnerable. She has leveraged her expertise in pediatric clinical care, healthcare systems, child maltreatment, and nursing curriculum to significantly impact the care of children and prepare the next generation of nurses. Through her leadership, she has advanced the nursing profession through program development and implementation of novel curricular innovations that utilize technology and research to align curriculum with the needs of the healthcare workforce. Dr. Mudd holds a BSN from George Mason University, a MSN from the University of Pennsylvania, a DNP from Johns Hopkins, and a MBA specializing in public and private sector leadership and healthcare management, innovation, and technology from Johns Hopkins University.
