Peter Preziosi is President and CEO of TruMerit, a global leader advancing career development and mobility for healthcare professionals. Since assuming leadership in 2023, when the organization was still CGFNS International, Dr. Preziosi has spearheaded its transformation into TruMerit, expanding its mission beyond credentialing to include research, advocacy, and development of global standards for healthcare workforce certification. Under his direction, TruMerit has elevated its global impact by strengthening international partnerships and reactivating its presence within organizations such as the Conference of NGOs in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations (CoNGO) and the WHO’s World Rehabilitation Alliance. These efforts support rehabilitation access, workforce development, and healthcare equity worldwide. Previously, Dr. Preziosi led standards and credentialing initiatives for the WHO Academy, building a global learning platform to upskill millions of health workers. His nearly 30-year career spans leadership roles in government, corporate, and nonprofit sectors, including positions at Verizon’s healthcare incubator, Concentrix, the National League for Nursing, and the City of New York’s Health and Hospital Corporation. Dr. Preziosi holds a PhD in health policy and a master’s in government administration from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s in education from Columbia University, and a BS in nursing from Florida State University.
