Monir Almotairy, the Founding Dean of Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib College for Knowledge and an Associate Professor at King Saud University, is a renowned leader for advancing the advanced practice nurse (APN) role in Saudi Arabia. As the first Saudi board-certified nurse practitioner, Dr. Almotairy’s leadership has been instrumental in the recognition and regulation of APNs in Saudi Arabia, ensuring these roles are implemented across many healthcare settings to improve accessibility and health equity. His research has addressed the integration of APNs within Saudi healthcare, successfully garnered recognition from executive clinical leaders, academic professionals, and healthcare providers, and significantly influenced the development of core competencies and potential regulatory frameworks for APNs, shaping national healthcare policy. Dr. Almotairy has been honored for his scholarly contributions, including receiving dissemination awards for recent publications in top-tier journals and invited presentations at prestigious national and international conferences focused on healthcare innovation and APN practice. Dr. Almotairy completed a PhD from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
