Mildred Fennal

International Nursing Education Consortium

Mildred DuBois Fennal is the Founder and Director of the International Nursing Education Consortium, a non-profit corporation established after retirement as a Nursing Professor from Florida A&M University School of Nursing. Dr. Fennal is an esteemed nursing educator, international leader, and community health advocate whose lifelong contributions to nursing science and education continue to shape the profession globally. he specializes in nursing education, study abroad for student nurses and professional registered nurses, as well as in providing assistance to community outreach programs locally, nationally and internationally through education conferences. The sickle cell disease community education project, an eight-year sustained, substantive, impactful program that addressed gaps in knowledge of health care providers who care for the sickle cell population in a particular county is an example. The project has gained national and international attention through presentations and publications. She is a CCRN Alumnus of (thirty years without interruption) and a Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. Fellow. Dr. Fennal received a PhD in Nursing Science from the University of South Carolina, a MSN from the Medical University of South Carolina, and a BSN from the State University of New York.
