Marife Aczon-Armstrong

Marife Celebre Aczon-Armstrong is an Associate Professor at Chaminade University of Honolulu School of Nursing & Health Professions. She is a Fulbright Senior Specialist serving as a visiting professor at Uganda Christian University in Mukono’s Master of Nursing Science Nurse Education Program. She is a Doctoral Nurse Scholar Fellow at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration’s Minority Fellowship Program at the American Nurses Association (SAMHSA MFP at ANA). Dr. Aczon-Armstrong is a lifetime member of the national Asian American Pacific Islander Nurses Association (AAPINA) and the founding president of AAPINA Hawaii and AAPINA of NV. She hosts a radio program, “Healthy Mondays in Paradise,” as a continuing role from the first radio program at PHLV Radio’s Healthy Monday with AAPINA of NV. Her passion for service learning and servant leadership led her to plan and coordinate medical missions to Uganda, Africa and to her hometown, Binangonan, Rizal, Philippines. She holds a PhD and MSN from the University of Hawaii at Manoa School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene, a MS in counseling psychology from Chaminade University of Honolulu, a BSN from Hawaii Pacific University and LPN from Kapiolani Community College.
