Marcy Ainslie

Marcy Ainslie is an Assistant Professor on the tenure track at the University of New Hampshire. Her research focuses on competency-based education and modernizing nurse practitioner (NP) education to meet the dynamic and complex needs of contemporary clinical practice. Dr. Ainslie is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP), served for two years as the Senior Fellow for the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF), and is the current Chair of the Aquifera NP Affinity Group, bringing the NP perspective to interprofessional educational resources for the health professions. Also, Dr. Ainslie has been nationally selected to serve on the AACN subgroup on progression indicators, in support of implementing the AACN Essentials. She continues her clinical practice in partnership with the largest community mental health center in New Hampshire, working to integrate physical and behavioral health services and provide medication assisted recovery for those diagnosed with substance use disorders. Dr. Ainslie holds an EdD from Plymouth State University, a MS and BS from Columbia University, and a BA from Boston College.
