Mallory Perry-Eaddy is an Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Nursing and a Pediatric Critical Care Nurse at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Combining clinical expertise in pediatric critical care with a translational lens, Dr. Perry-Eaddy leads a multidisciplinary research program focused on improving outcomes for critically ill children who survive the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), especially those with life-threatening infectious conditions such as sepsis. She has made significant contributions to understanding the functional consequences of critical illness and its impact on child development. She is the principal investigator of the NIH-funded Pediatric Recovery of Sepsis Treatment in the PICU study, which examines post-discharge functional trajectories using clinical, biologic, and patient-reported data. Her work integrates biomarker discovery, health equity, and survivorship frameworks. She is a recognized leader in pediatric critical care, serving on multiple national committees, including an advisor to the Sepsis Alliance and an expert to a CDC-funded Project First Line study. She mentors students and nurses, collaborating widely to advance equitable recovery for critically ill children. Dr. Perry-Eaddy received her BSN, MS, and PhD from the University of Connecticut. She completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania.
