Lili Deng is a Chief Superintendent Nurse at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. Professor Deng is recognized for advancing the integration of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) into nursing education, research, and clinical practice. Over the past 16 years, she has designed and led traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) health management training programs across more than 10 provinces and 110 hospitals, reaching nearly 3,000 students. With 12 years of experience in chronic kidney disease care, she established a pioneering TCM-based nursing model and led the creation of China’s first TCM chronic disease management outpatient clinic, improving patient outcomes, reducing costs, and supporting reintegration into society. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ms. Deng served as chief editor of the nation’s first Infection Prevention and Control Manual for TCM Diagnostic and Treatment Techniques, providing a critical framework for frontline care. Ms. Deng continues to expand the reach of TCM nursing through research, clinical innovation, and international academic exchange. Ms. Deng received her BSN from Jinan University.
