Kyeung Mi Oh is an Associate Professor at the George Mason University School of Nursing. Dr. Oh leveraged her scientific expertise to lead numerous innovative research projects with specific purpose to advance health equity. Her research impacted on reducing health disparities among racial and ethnic minorities and low-income, underserved populations. Specifically, her work has improved the early detection of cancer and diabetes, enhanced self-care practices, and elevated the quality of life and well-being of individuals and groups affected by these health issues. By identifying at-risk groups and their unique needs, Dr. Oh developed and tested innovative interventions that drive optimal health outcomes. These efforts focus on enhancing health literacy, promoting self-care, and integrating advanced technologies such as human-AI collaboration. Her work consistently embraces interdisciplinary and innovative approaches by integrating advanced technologies and methodologies to promote health equity. Dr. Oh earned her BSN from the University of Newcastle, Australia, completed an MSN with a specialization in Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist at the University of Sydney, Australia, and received her PhD in Gerontology from the University of Sheffield in the UK.
