Kay Kennedy is Co-Founder and CEO of uLeadership, LLC. She leads a nationally recognized educational and research company advancing Human-Centered Leadership in Healthcare (HCL-HC). Many leading healthcare organizations and academic institutions have adopted the HCL-HC model, providing strong evidence for its substance and sustainability. She holds adjunct professor positions at Emory University Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, MGH Institute of Health Professions, and Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Kennedy is an entrepreneur with extensive leadership experience from bedside nursing to executive roles, including Chief Nursing Officer. She actively serves on national committees for AONL and ALSN and has contributed to numerous research articles and publications. As co-author of Human-Centered Leadership in Healthcare: Evolution of a Revolution and Shifts: The Journal by Nurses for Nurses, she continues to shape nursing leadership scholarship and practice, presenting nationally and internationally. Dr. Kennedy holds a BSN and MSN from Emory University Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing and a DNP in Executive Leadership from MGH Institute for Health Professions. She is board certified as an Advanced Nurse Executive and a Professional in Healthcare Quality.
