Katherine Chike-Harris is an Assistant Professor and Director of Education Innovation & Improvement at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Nursing where she has led the integration of telehealth education into the MSN/DNP curriculum. She is internationally recognized as a telehealth expert, especially in its integration into nursing curriculum. Dr. Chike-Harris organized one of the first nursing faculty telehealth integration conferences within the southeastern US prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and co-developed the National Telehealth Toolkit for Nursing Faculty. Her telehealth expertise is nationally and internationally sought to assist in telehealth education and as a faculty mentor. Additionally, Dr. Chike-Harris was a significant contributor to the initial expansion of and currently practices within school-based telehealth clinics located across the state of SC. These school-based telehealth clinics increase access to quality physical and mental health care for children who would normally go without. Dr. Chike-Harris holds a PhD in Nursing Science, DNP, MSN (PNP), and BSN degrees from the Medical University of South Carolina, a FNP post-master’s certificate from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and a BS degree in Chemistry from Augusta University.
