Jung In Park is CEO and Lead Research Scientist at Ikaria AI Ventures. Dr. Park leverages her combined expertise as a nurse and AI data scientist to lead transformative research. She develops predictive models to optimize care, reduce disparities, and advance equity on a broad scale, particularly for underrepresented populations and individuals with cancer. For example, she developed an AI model combining clinical data and social determinants of health to predict chronic pain risk in breast cancer patients, enabling tailored interventions for underserved groups. During her time as an assistant professor at the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing, University of California-Irvine, Dr. Park advanced nursing education by preparing future nurses with AI expertise to transform healthcare. Her decade-long contributions to health informatics earned her recognition as a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association. Building on her academic achievements, Dr. Park founded Ikaria Ventures, where she serves as CEO, investing in enterprises that harness AI to address real-world healthcare challenges and cultivating future leaders. She holds a BSN from Seoul National University and a PhD from the University of Minnesota, and honed her expertise in biomedical informatics and health data science as a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University.
