Judith Hahn is the Executive Director of Nursing Professional practice at Yale New Haven Health. Dr. Hahn serves as Executive Director of Professional Practice in the Center for Nursing Excellence. She is responsible for directing educational programming, nursing research and a system Magnet team. She oversees a the first federally funded registered apprenticeship program in the United States for unlicensed assistive personnel transitioning to practice across the health system. She developed and led innovative initiatives aimed at addressing and advocating for critical workforce and nursing work environment priorities and has conducted research to inform these improvements. Through her leadership in the Center for Nursing Excellence she has developed and designed professional practice structures that create the conditions and environment for professional nurses to flourish. She has international experience in Vietnam, leading teams through evidence-based practice change and professional practice structures. She serves on the Connecticut Nurses’ Foundation board and is a member of the Governor’s workforce board for the State of Connecticut. Her work includes a collaborative academic/practice partnership with Yale University to propel nursing research and to serve as an advisor to the Dean for clinical placements. Dr. Hahn holds a PhD in Nursing from the University of Connecticut and MSN from the University of Hartford.
