Jinhua Zhang is a Professor at Henan Medical University. Dr. Zhang is a senior academic and technical expert, recognized for more than 36 years of pioneering contributions to geriatric nursing. Dedicated to integrating humanistic care principles into clinical practice, Dr. Zhang has advanced patient-centered approaches that improve the health and well-being of rural older adults, particularly in stroke prevention and rehabilitation. Dr. Zhang has led innovative studies addressing cerebrovascular disease prevention, developing a Key Opinion Leader model for rural health management, culturally adapted stroke education programs, and AI-based rehabilitation frameworks that standardize training and evaluation for elderly patients. She has authored more than 180 academic papers, including over 10 in SCI journals, and served as chief or deputy editor of 12 textbooks shaping national nursing education. As a mentor, Dr. Zhang has guided 71 master’s and 2 doctoral students and played a key role in drafting elderly care service standards for Henan Province and the Ministry of Civil Affairs. Dr. Zhang received her BSN and MSN from Xinxiang Medical University and PhD from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
