Jessica Lazzeri is the Clinical Director for the Women’s Health and Neonatal Service line at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Medicine, with nursing leadership oversight of the inpatient OB/GYN units, the Intensive Care Nursery, and the Childbirth Education and Lactation Departments. Dr. Lazzeri serves as the Executive Director for the PA Safe Sleep program. This program, funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, was developed by Dr. Lazzeri and other leaders at Penn Medicine and the Penn School of Nursing to reduce Sleep Related Deaths (SRDs) in Pennsylvania through an evidence-based education program targeted to birthing and children’s hospitals across the state. She is an active member of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nursing, the American Organization for Nursing Leadership, and the Pennsylvania Organization of Nurse Leaders, where she also serves on the Legislative Committee. She is board certified as an Advanced Nurse Executive and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Dr. Lazzeri received both her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her Doctoral Degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
