Janet Campbell, Clinical Associate Faculty, has had a consulting faculty appointment at Duke University School of Nursing since 2012. She is a US Navy Veteran, dedicating 26 years of federal service to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). She fulfilled a Nurse Executive role as National Program Manager for Nursing workforce development training programs prior to her recent retirement. In partnership with national academic institutions, she provided oversight and strategic leadership for all national VA Nursing training programs at the graduate and postgraduate levels. She is a Registered Nurse and Board Certified Nurse Practitioner in Adult Primary Care. Dr. Campbell has made significant contributions to the nursing profession, advocating for the achievement of superior outcomes in Veteran care and Nursing Education. She obtained a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Tennessee Health Sciences, Master of Science in Nursing from University of Alabama Birmingham and the University of South Alabama. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She also holds post graduate certificates from East Carolina University, and the University of North Carolina.
