Intima Alrimawi is an Associate Professor of Nursing at Georgetown University. With more than ten years of experience in nursing education and 21 years as a registered nurse, she possesses a comprehensive understanding of healthcare, particularly in pediatric and public health settings. Her research is primarily focused on underserved populations, including children, families, and low-income communities, with a special emphasis on child protection and improving health outcomes among racial and ethnic minorities facing health disparities. Additionally, her work delves into chronic and terminal illnesses in children, aiming to mitigate health inequalities and enhance nursing practices in these contexts. Dr. Alrimawi is dedicated to developing health policies and enhancing healthcare quality in underserved areas. She currently serves as the president of the Epsilon Zeta Chapter of Sigma. In addition, she demonstrates strong engagement in the research and nominating committees within the International Family Nursing Association (IFNA). She’s co-chair of the Health Services Research Interest Group and a board member serving on the communications committee of the Eastern Nursing Research Society (ENRS). Dr. Alrimawi earned her PhD and MSc at the University of Nottingham, MPH at Birzeit University, and BSN at Ibn Sina College for Health Sciences.
