Fuman Cai serves as the Dean of the School of Nursing at Wenzhou Medical University. He has significantly advanced ostomy and wound care education globally, notably by organizing eight international conferences on the topic, and training numerous International Enterostomal Therapists. Dr. Cai's research focuses on the prevention and intervention of pressure injuries. He is a pioneer in studying the mechanisms of ischemia-reperfusion injury related to pressure injuries and in utilizing infrared thermography for wound assessment, marking a shift towards smart monitoring technologies. His patented innovations have streamlined clinical workflows and enhanced precision in wound care. Bridging nursing science and artificial intelligence, Dr. Cai's globally significant and valuable work has substantially elevated the international influence of Chinese nursing scholars. In the field of ostomy and wound care. Dr. Cai holds a PhD in Nursing Science from Xian Jiaotong University, a master’s degree in Pathology and Pathophysiology from Wenzhou Medical University, and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science from Zhejiang University.
