Eileen Magri is the Senior Director of Nursing for Women and Children’s Services at NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island (NYULH-LI). Dr. Magri has direct accountability for evidence-based practice standards, outcomes, care models, policy/procedure development, operational systems, and programs delivered at NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island (NYULH-LI) for women and children’s services. She led NYULH-LI to three Baby-Friendly USA designations, Joint Commission Perinatal Care Certification in 2019 and 2021 and Advanced Perinatal Care Certification in 2023. In addition to her role as Senior Director, she has served on numerous state projects with the New York State Perinatal Collaborative. She is a member of the New York Organization for Nursing Leadership, National Association of Neonatal Nurses, Eastern Nurses Research Society, Sigma, American College of Healthcare Executives and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses where her research on post-birth warning signs has informed education programs nationally. She is a New York Academy of Medicine Fellow and Coldiron Senior Nurse Executive Fellow. Dr. Magri holds a PhD and MSN from Molloy University and BSN from St. Joseph’s University.
