Delanor Manson serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Kentucky Nurses Association Enterprise which includes the Kentucky Nurses Association (KNA), Kentucky Nurses Foundation, and Kentucky Nurses Action Coalition. She leads advocacy, education, and professional support efforts that impact 93,000 Kentucky nurses. Ms. Manson is a member of the Kentucky Health Collaborative board, the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health board, and serves on the advisory board for Spalding University School of Nursing. In collaboration with the Louisville Public Health Department, she helped organize the first indoor drive-through COVID-19 vaccination clinic in the nation, which delivered over 130,000 vaccinations. Under her leadership, KNA provided 32 million continuing education hours globally, including Kentucky’s mandated training on Implicit Bias and Nurse Suicide Prevention. A tireless advocate, Ms. Manson was instrumental in the passage of the nation’s only decriminalization bill for medical errors, along with a workplace safety bill protecting healthcare professionals. Her work continues to impact nursing, healthcare policy, and public health at both state and national levels. Ms. Manson holds a Master of Arts from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kentucky. She served 27 years in the Navy and retired as a Captain.
