Carli Culjat is a Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency Department at Nebraska Methodist Hospital and the Director of Operations for the Nebraska Rural Health Association. With experience as a researcher and practitioner, her work bridges health system leadership, clinical care, and applied research, focusing on improving health outcomes in rural and underserved communities. Dr. Culjat’s program of work centers on health literacy, culturally responsive communication, and implementation strategies that advance equitable care. She brings expertise in grant management, safety monitoring, and research dissemination, particularly within community-engaged and cross-sector projects. With a multidisciplinary background in clinical practice, public health, policy, and business, Dr. Culjat is committed to translating research into sustainable, community-driven health solutions that promote equity, safety, and access.Dr. Culjat earned her BSN from Creighton University, her PhD and FNP from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, her MBA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and her PMHNP from Florida State University.
