Brenda Jones is the Senior Regional Director of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Services at Kaiser Permanente Northern California, overseeing operations, safety, and quality across 21 hospitals. She created and leads strategic initiatives including the MCH Advisory and Policy Committee, MCH Equity and Inclusion Taskforce, and a new leader orientation SharePoint site. Dr. Jones has dedicated her career to advocacy and service for women and children, focusing on those at risk for poor outcomes. Previously, Dr. Jones served as Senior Director of Women’s Services at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX managing over 12,500 annual deliveries. At the Illinois Department of Public Health, she held leadership roles as Maternal Child Health Deputy Director and Director of the HRSA Maternal and Child Health Program, where she led a department-wide redesign to enhance population health. As Vice President at Access Community Health, she implemented a quality and safety program across 36 federally qualified health centers. She is certified in Patient Safety (CPPS) and Perinatal Quality (C-ONQS). As a Public Health Leadership Fellow at UNC Chapel Hill, she was able to use this knowledge to provide global women’s health services in El Salvador, Haiti, Guyana, and Suriname as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She holds a Doctorate in Health Science from Nova Southeastern University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Drexel University.
