Bimpe 'Bebe' Adenusi is the Chair and Program Administrator of the Nurse Anesthesia Program at Thomas Jefferson University, Jefferson College of Nursing where she leads efforts in program expansion, faculty development, and student success. A nationally recognized advocate for health equity, Dr. Adenusi has made broad-reaching contributions to the diversification of the nurse anesthesia workforce through inclusive, community-driven collaborations. She is the founder of the Nigerian American Nurse Anesthetists Association (NANAA), a pioneering organization designed to support, recruit, and retain Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students in nurse anesthesia programs across the United States. Under her leadership, NANAA has become a national model for nurse-led partnerships focused on capacity building, mentorship, and policy engagement to eliminate barriers for underrepresented groups. Dr. Adenusi’s work has been widely recognized through numerous fellowships, professional appointments, and awards that reflect her commitment to clinical excellence, transformative leadership, and inclusive education. Her contributions extend beyond national borders, influencing global health initiatives and advancing equitable access to surgical and anesthesia care in underserved communities. She holds a PhD from New Mexico State University, MSN in Nurse Anesthesia from Drexel University, and a BSN from Indiana State University.
