Anne Deutsch is a Research Scientist III at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, a Research Associate Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and a Senior Research Public Health Analyst at RTI International. Dr. Deutsch’s research has focused on measurement of quality of care and Medicare payment models. Funded projects have focused on the development and implementation of post-acute care standardized data elements, functional status quality measures, and post-acute care quality reporting programs. She has also worked on the post-acute care payment policies, the skilled nursing facility value-based purchasing program, REACH Accountable Care Organization quality measurement, and home and community-based services quality measurement and rehabilitation care of persons with spinal cord injury. Anne has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers and is the editor of the Rehabilitation Nursing Journal. She has served on many expert panels, including the panels sponsored by the National Academy of Medicine, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission, and the World Health Organization. Dr. Deutsch, a certified rehabilitation registered nurse, received her BSN from the University of Cincinnati, her MS and PhD from the State University of New York at Buffalo and her Postdoctoral Fellowship from Northwestern University’s School of Medicine.
