Anna Dermenchyan is the Interim Chief Quality Officer for the UCLA Department of Medicine, where she leads quality, safety, and population health initiatives across one of the largest departments within UCLA Health. Dr. Dermenchyan is certified in critical care and healthcare quality, with expertise in organizational leadership, patient safety, healthcare ethics, and data-driven system improvement. Nationally recognized for her advocacy in healthy work environments and workplace violence prevention, she has served as a Jonas Policy Scholar with the American Academy of Nursing and as a Health Policy and Media Fellow at The George Washington University. She is a former board member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and has contributed to national policy and educational efforts through her work with the American Nurses Association and the National Nursing Ethics Conference. Internationally, Dr. Dermenchyan has partnered with academic institutions to develop nursing curricula and integrate evidence-based practices aimed at improving global health equity. Her scholarship and media advocacy have helped shape public discourse on nursing, safety, and health policy. Dr. Dermenchyan received her BSN from Mount Saint Mary’s University, and her BS, MSN, and PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
