Angela Stanley is an Associate Professor at George Washington University School of Nursing, a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and maintains an active clinical practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner providing care to veterans. Dr. Stanley's major contributions span a distinguished 20-year military nursing career and significant academic leadership. Her military service included progressive roles culminating as Administrative Officer for the Navy Surgeon General and Associate Director of Primary Care at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, with overseas deployments advancing maternal-child health, primary care, and pain management across diverse global populations. Transitioning to academia, she established herself as an innovative educator and scholar, authoring 14+ peer-reviewed publications advancing telehealth implementation, pregnancy care, and maternal health disparities while developing groundbreaking telehealth education models. Her professional leadership includes serving on the Board of Directors for the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) and former chair of NONPF's Inclusive Excellence Committee, demonstrating sustained commitment to advancing nursing education, clinical practice innovation, and healthcare equity. Dr. Stanley earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the Medical University of South Carolina and holds master's degrees in nursing from The Catholic University of America and health services management from Webster University.
