Angela Haynes-Ferere serves as an Associate Professor and Program Director of the Distance Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (DABSN) program at Emory University. She is also the Chair of Eternal Hope in Haiti, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing healthcare services in Cap-Haitien, Haiti, and continues to actively practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner. In addition, Dr. Haynes-Ferere is engaged with Emory University's Native American and Indigenous Studies Initiative, contributing to interdisciplinary efforts that support Indigenous communities representing her Lumbee tribe. Her passion lies in shaping transformative learning experiences that integrate clinical knowledge with critical thinking. She facilitates immersive educational opportunities for students in under-resourced and rural settings; such as caring for farmworkers in South Georgia or delivering care in remote Northern Haitian villages; where students develop both clinical competence and cultural humility. Committed to fostering safe, rigorous, and supportive learning environments, Dr. Haynes-Ferere is dedicated to preparing the next generation of compassionate, inquisitive, skilled nursing professionals. Dr. Haynes-Ferere holds a DNP from the University of Alabama, Capstone College of Nursing and a BSN, MSN, and MPH from Emory University.
