Amanda Fallin-Bennett is an Associate Professor at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing and a co-founder of Voices of Hope. Dr. Fallin-Bennett’s program of research focuses on expanding access to recovery support and harm reduction services as well as evidence-based treatment and policy interventions to reduce harms of tobacco and substance use. She has led or co-led studies funded by diverse sources, such as the National Institute of Health, the Food and Drug Administration, and the American Nurses Foundation. In addition to impacting the related body of scientific knowledge, Dr. Fallin-Bennett’s research has led to contributed to lasting impacts on the delivery of recovery support services (e.g, the development of sustainable recovery coaching and peer transportation programs) across the state. Additionally, her community-engaged research inspired her to co-found Voices of Hope, the first Recovery Community Center in Lexington, KY, which provides free, inclusive recovery support services to individuals across 23 counties. Dr. Fallin-Bennett received her BSN, MSN and PhD from the University of Kentucky College of Nursing and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California San Francisco Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education.
