Amanda Drury

PhD, MSc, RN

Amanda Drury is an Associate Professor in General Nursing at the School of Nursing, Psychotherapy and Community Health at Dublin City University. Her research focuses on improving quality of life and integrating person-centered survivorship care for individuals living with and beyond cancer, with a particular emphasis on unmet needs and patient-reported outcomes. Internationally recognized for her leadership in oncology nursing, she has developed evidence-based interventions, pioneered digital learning initiatives, and championed patient and public involvement in research. Dr. Drury currently serves on the Horizon Europe Cancer Mission Board and the European Commission Initiative on Colorectal Cancer, and is a former board member of the European Oncology Nursing Society. She contributes to global nursing scholarship through editorial board positions with Seminars in Oncology Nursing and the European Journal of Oncology Nursing, and plays a key role in international collaborations aimed at strengthening cancer nursing education and practice. Her work informs health policy, research, and professional standards at both national and European levels. A committed educator and mentor, she supports the development of early-career nurse researchers and leaders. Dr. Drury holds a PhD in Nursing, an MSc in Cancer Care, and a BSc (Hons) in General Nursing from Trinity College Dublin.
