Alison H. Davis

Alison H. Davis is a Professor of Nursing at Auburn University College of Nursing. As an experienced nurse educator, simulation expert, and researcher, Dr. Davis has significantly impacted simulation-based learning and interprofessional education, enhancing the quality of health professions training both locally and globally. She established national and international simulation standards and led a statewide legislative effort to recognize simulation as equivalent to clinical hours, thereby expanding access to simulation training. Dr. Davis has designed and implemented faculty development programs that increased certification rates and improved simulation best practices. She has mentored over 100 nurse educators. As Treasurer-Secretary for the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning, she has advanced fiscal stability and global support for over 3,000 nurse educators. Dr. Davis' work strengthens the healthcare workforce and addresses the global caregiver shortage through high-quality, accessible simulation and interprofessional education. Dr. Davis received her BSN from the Medical College of Georgia, Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University, and her Doctor of Philosophy from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University.
