Abdulaziz Alsufyani is a Consultant Nurse at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia and serves as an advisor in healthcare leadership and workforce performance. Dr. Alsufyani leads several national initiatives aimed at advancing healthcare transformation, promoting safe work environments, and enhancing community health outcomes. His academic work is impactful and focuses on emotional intelligence, occupational stress, and workforce performance within the Saudi healthcare system. Dr. Alsufyani has spearheaded national reforms to combat workplace violence (WPV) against healthcare providers. Leveraging his role with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, he united key stakeholders—including the MOH, SCHS, and SPP—to enact a landmark zero-tolerance WPV policy in 2021. This comprehensive legal framework reduced reported WPV cases from 6,400 to 74 per 10,000 nurses within three years and significantly improved workforce stability. Internationally recognized, his policy is now adopted across GCC countries. Dr. Alsufyani continues advancing nurse safety, advocacy, and global consultation on workforce protection. Dr. Alsufyani holds a PhD from King Saud University College of Nursing.
