About the Conference
The American Academy of Nursing’s Health Policy Conference will be held at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, DC, from October 31 - November 2, 2024. This year’s conference theme, Courageous Transformations Towards an Equitable Future, will demonstrate the power of the Academy, policymakers, and its partnering organizations to envision and transform health care that meets our vision of “Healthy Lives for All People.”

Purpose Statement

The American Academy of Nursing (Academy) is envisioning its future through the power of courageous transformations. This conference will explore the importance of virtual health, community-based partnerships, and the economic value of nursing to advance the goal of attaining a more equitable future.

With a focus on leadership strategies to enact systemic change and promote well-being, attendees will hear from interprofessional thought leaders in policy and practice who will share key health equity interventions that will transform how health care is paid for, provided, and received. The Academy invites and seeks to engage Fellows, nurses, students, policymakers, and other stakeholders in a rich conversation to better prepare attendees to engage in trusted collaborations and take bold action to advance evidence-driven policy solutions.
