Dr. Jasmine L. Her work focuses on nursing homes, long-term services and supports (LTSS), and workforce issues. She served on the National Academies’ Committee on Nursing Home Quality, helping shape bold recommendations to improve the care delivery of older adults living in nursing homes and those who care for them. She also played a key role in developing AARP’s 2023 LTSS State Scorecard on equity. Her Congressional testimonies on COVID-19’s impact and workforce challenges in long-term care have influenced both federal and state policy. Dr. Travers’ research continues to drive improvements in aging policy, workforce conditions, and the safety and quality of care for older adults.
