Thomas A. Kippenbrock is a Professor at the University of Arkansas Fayetteville Eleanor Mann School of Nursing. Dr. Kippenbrock pioneered research methods to attract a diverse nursing workforce stimulated by his leadership role in founding the American Association of Men in Nursing. As an executive team member, he was instrumental in the planning and implementation of AAMN. His groundbreaking research focuses on male student college choice, faculty workplace satisfaction, and nurse practitioners providing health care to rural and underserved populations. His research resulted in a more diverse nursing workforce, influencing more men to pursue a nursing career. His inclusivity activities demonstrated the positive impact of NPs providing health care to marginalized and disenfranchised rural and poor populations. Additionally, his multiple studies of nursing faculty job satisfaction and intent to stay led to increasing faculty retention and diversity. Dr. Kippenbrock earned his BSN from Indiana State University, MSN and EdD from Indiana University.
