Suresh Sharma is serving as Professor-cum-Principal at the College of Nursing, Rajasthan, with over 20 years of experience as a distinguished nurse academician, researcher, and leader. Dr. Sharma has taught thousands of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral nursing students. Additionally, he holds the position of Chief Nursing Officer at AIIMS, Jodhpur, overseeing more than 1,700 registered nurses, nurse managers, and leaders in providing tertiary care across various specialties. Dr. Sharma was a 2020-ICN-Global Nursing Leadership Scholar at the Global Nursing Leadership Institute in Geneva, Switzerland. He is currently the Director-at-large of the International Network of Doctoral Education in Nursing (INDEN) for 2022-24 in the USA. A prolific author, he has published seven nursing textbooks, contributed several chapters, and authored over 200 research papers in indexed journals. He founded the Society of Perioperative Nurses, India, and the Society for Critical Care Nursing, India. He is also an editor and section editor for several journals, including the Journal of Caring Science and the Journal of Medical Evidence. Prof. Sharma received the Florence Nightingale Award in 2001. Dr. Sharma holds a BSN from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, and an MScN and PhD from Panjab University, Chandigarh.
