Mary Dioise Ramos, an Associate Dean for Nursing Research, Scholarship and Science at LSU Health New Orleans School of Nursing, is an accomplished educator and scholar. Dr. Ramos is a Research Scientist funded by the NIH-Asian Resource Centers for Minority Aging Research (RCMAR) and the Alzheimer’s Association. Her scholarly endeavors address the complex healthcare challenges confronting family caregivers and vulnerable populations, influencing healthcare decisions among individuals with dementia and those from migrant backgrounds. She’s also the Academic Research Collaborator within the Georgia chapter of the Filipino-American Patient-Centered Outcomes Research network, the Education Chair of the Philippine Nurses Association of America, Inc., and an editorial board member of the Gerontology and Geriatrics Journal. Dr. Ramos’ global influence is reflected in her extensive publication record and her insights shared on national and international platforms. Her accolades include the Georgia Asian Times Valiant Award, the Florence Nightingale Award, the Distinguished Educator in Gerontological Nursing, and the Excellence in Research Award. Dr. Ramos received her BSN and MAN from the University of Santo Tomas, and PhD from Georgia State University.
