Marsha C. Sinanan has been a leader in healthcare, focusing on service line and program development, integrating best practices in policy expansion, and education into clinical workflows. She has played a key role in implementing LEAN methodologies and promoting DEI and cultural competency across large healthcare systems, including 8 hospitals and more than 15,000 staff in the largest healthcare system in New York City. Dr. Sinanan has scaled this work to include care models that have sustained improved access to healthcare for underserved populations in Guyana and China. She has shared her impactful work through peer-reviewed journals, presentations, and committee work, and serves as a content writer for the Lippincott Advisor Cultural Perspectives. Additionally, she is an active member of the Board of Directors of the OKB Hope Foundation, which focuses on supporting health screenings and mental health awareness for rural Ghanaian populations. Dr. Sinanan is board-certified as a Nurse Executive and is a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Leadership, Systems, and Policy from Yale University’s School of Nursing. She is an active member of the Transcultural Nursing Society and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing.
