Li Zhang

MM, RN
Professor
Guangdong Modern Nursing Education Center

Li Zhang is the first accreditation expert of the International Accreditation Standards for Hospital Quality (ISQua EEA accreditation). She currently serves as the Director of the Guangdong Nursing Education Centre and the Vice President of the Guangdong Nurses Association. As the leader of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Nursing Alliance, she developed the "Trinity" A-A-O model of quality care and fast recovery. This model extends the international patient-centered theoretical paradigm in China, breaking through early postoperative activity assessment and intervention, and promoting the effective implementation of early patient rehabilitation. It has been adopted by over 100 hospitals nationwide, and she has delivered nearly a hundred lectures across and beyond the province. In response to China's 2017 two-child policy and the resulting strain on human resources, she innovated the roles of mobile nurse and chief resident nurse and created a first-night shift model. This initiative, aligned with international standards, helped build a highly cohesive magnetic nursing team. Ms. Zhang earned a master’s degree from the Second Military Medical University of the People's Liberation Army and a bachelor’s degree from the School of Health Management at Anhui Medical University. She also completed the Advanced Management Programme for Modern Hospitals at the International Institute of Management in Singapore.
