Leslie Dubbin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at University of California San Francisco School of Nursing. Her current program of research explores the social and health impacts of public housing renovation and redevelopment in San Francisco; the spatial and place dimensions of loneliness and disconnectedness in people living with chronic illness; the nature of racism and its impact on the illness experiences of African Americans; and the dynamics of how social inequalities are transacted in patient-provider interactions. Dr. Dubbins is a 2016 Robert Wood Johnson Interdisciplinary Research Fellow.
