Kristin Cleverley

Kristin Cleverley is the CAMH Chair of Mental Health Nursing Research, an Associate Professor at the Lawrence S Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing and Department of Psychiatry, Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto (UofT) and Senior Scientist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). She is the Academic Director of the Student and Youth Mental Health Research Initiative at UofT. Dr. Cleverley currently holds an Ontario Early Researcher Award (2021-2026), a UofT Connaught Global Challenge Award, and is the principal or co-investigator on almost $40 million in grant funds. She has published over 90 journal articles and given over 150 keynote and conference presentations. She is an international expert in youth and student mental health, patient-oriented research, and mental health care transitions. She recently co-chaired the development of the Ontario Governments Quality Standards on Transition from Youth to Adult Health Care Services. Dr. Cleverley was awarded the 2021 Council of Ontario University Programs in Nursing Award for excellence in nursing education and scholarship, a testament to the impact her research has had on mental health practice and scholarship in Canada.
