Ka Ming Chow is an Associate Professor at the Nethersole School of Nursing, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Chow’s research focuses on sexuality care for gynecological and breast cancer patients. She has designed and pioneered culturally appropriate, evidence-based psycho-educational and sexual rehabilitation interventions and the results have demonstrated beneficial effects on improving sexual function among the target recipients. She has also developed sexuality care protocol to guide the provision of sexuality nursing care in clinical settings. The impact of her research is far-reaching and disseminated through publications, conference presentations and newspapers and changed the attitude and aroused public awareness in this area. As a faculty member in a renowned nursing institution, Dr. Chow actively participates in educational research and advocate curriculum design and promotes inter-professional education and innovative teaching in nursing education. She has implemented changes to improve teaching and learning and tailored the pre-registration nursing programs to the needs of students, the profession and society. Her scholarship and extensive program management enhance the quality of nursing education Dr. Chow received her BSN, MN and DNurs from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She also received training in sexuality counseling at the University of Michigan.
