Dr. Wiggins serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Arkansas Children’s and is responsible for developing, implementing and improving systems that deliver the best outcomes for the children of Arkansas. Dr. Wiggins is also adjunct faculty at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Public Health. Dr. Wiggins serves on the Learning and Engagement Committee, and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force for the Children’s Hospital Association. He is also on the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and Advisory Board for the Elders School of Allied Professionals and Public Health at Philander Smith University. Dr. Wiggins has held previous leadership roles as Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Clinical Officer at Children’s Hospital New Orleans, Administrative Director at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Senior Director Clinical Services at Children’s Minnesota, and Patient Care Manager at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. Dr. Wiggins holds a PhD from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center New Orleans, MBA from Nicholls State University, MS from University of California San Francisco, BSN from the University of San Francisco, and ADN from Pitt Community College.
