Heidi Hahn-Schroeder, Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs and Assistant Professor of Nursing at Columbia University School of Nursing, also holds the position of Director of the Masters Direct Entry and Advanced Clinical Management and Leadership programs. Dr. Hahn-Schroeder is at the forefront of leading the education of nurses to advance equitable healthcare globally. Her strategic initiatives, including academic practice partnerships and global immersive clinical experiences, significantly impact the advancement and improvement of healthcare worldwide. Dr. Hahn-Schroeder holds the distinction of being the first nurse board member for Garnet Health Medical Center. As a Board member of the Columbia Center for Children’s Environmental Health, Dr. Hahn-Schroeder is active in leading urban policy change to advance preventative healthcare in vulnerable and underrepresented populations across the region. She was recently inducted into the Columbia University Irving Medical Center Academy of Community and Public Service Class of 2023. Additionally, she serves on the Legislative Committee for the American Nurses Association - New York (ANA-NY) and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society in Nursing as a Nurse Leader. Dr. Hahn-Schroeder is an active member of the American Nurses Association and the American Organization for Nursing Leadership.
