Christine Rodriguez

Christine Rodriguez is a Two-Spirit, Afro-Indigenous scholar whose research focuses on 2SLGBTQIA+ healthcare with a specialization in gender-affirming care, Native & Indigenous health, healthcare simulation technologies, intersectional stigma, entheogens, and the role of religion and spirituality in healthcare. She uses the biopsychosociospiritual framework to address and advocate against systemic inequities, particularly for people of color. Dr. Rodriguez is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean of Simulation & Clinical Innovation at Yale School of Nursing and an Affiliate Faculty at The Yale Institute for Global Health. She is President of Transcending Adolescence, a summer camp for trans and gender-diverse youth and serves on Tannenbaum's Health Care Program Advisory Council. As an ordained minister and family nurse practitioner, she promotes inter-religious understanding and respect for religion spiritual diversity across the lifespan within healthcare settings. A Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine, Dr. Rodriguez holds a DNP and MSN from the University of Connecticut, an MDIV and MATS from Liberty University, a Graduate Certificate in Faith Community Nursing from the University of Southern Indiana, and a BSN and BS from Nova Southeastern University. She is currently completing her PMC-PMHNP at the University of New Hampshire to become certified as a PMHNP.
