Chiyoung Cha is a professor at Ewha Womans University and a Chair of the International Committee at the Korean Nursing Association (KNA). Dr. Cha’s research addresses artificial intelligence-assisted tailored interventions to improve the nursing workforce’s health and identify determinants of health and illness among female nurses via an ongoing cohort study (10+ years). She has led the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency and the National Research Foundation of Korea funded projects and participated in national and international interdisciplinary research projects and policy development research that resulted in providing evidence for policy development for women’s health. Her interests include global nursing leadership. She serves on the International Committee at the KNA, and has been trained as the Leadership for Change trainer certified by the International Council of Nurses. Her leadership includes improving nursing education quality to empower nursing leadership in Cambodia, hosting programs for nursing leaders, and serving as a president of the Nursing Society of Unification, which is dedicated to academic research on the health of North Korean refugees. She is an Editor-in-Chief at the Journal of Qualitative Research. She holds PhD degrees from the University of Washington, and BSN, MS, and postdoctoral fellowship from Ewha Womans University.
