Beth F. Hallmark serves as Director of Education for the Center for Interprofessional Engagement and Simulation at Belmont University. Dr. Hallmark’s impact centers on nursing education and advocacy, specializing in simulation pedagogy. Her influence is evident through innovative leadership including founding the Tennessee Simulation Alliance. She served as lead author of the internationally recognized Healthcare Simulation Standard of Best Practice: Professional Development. Dr. Hallmark served as project lead for the NLN ACEs Caregiver and LGBTQ+ series collaborating to develop peer-reviewed, open-source simulations. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning. Dedicated to advancing simulation, her educational focus centers on seamlessly integrating solid pedagogical principles, while advocating for safe and culturally sensitive healthcare practices. Her dedication to interprofessional education is evident as she served as a faculty member for the Meharry Vanderbilt Interprofessional Faculty Member program an inter-institutional initiative with interprofessional education curricula while engaging community partners. Dr Hallmark is engaged in research developing a tool to assess cultural responsiveness and learner inclusion during simulation-based experiences. Dr. Hallmark received her ASN from Samford University, her BSN from Belmont College, her MSN from Vanderbilt University and her PhD from Touro University.
